How to set or change your goal

Your goal shapes the roadmap and tasks you see. Here's how to set your first goal, add another, or switch your primary goal.

Your first goal

You choose a primary goal during onboarding — things like getting your first credit card, reaching a 700 score, lowering your utilization, or qualifying for an auto loan. That goal determines the month-by-month tasks on your roadmap.

Add or change a goal

Go to the Goals page (/goals, "My Goals"). To add a new goal, click "+ Add goal," pick the goal that fits, then choose a timeline (the app suggests one based on your situation) and start it. Each goal comes with its own set of tasks.

Switch your primary goal, or close one out

Every goal has a menu (the three-dot icon). From there you can set a goal as your primary, mark a goal complete when you've finished it, or abandon one you no longer want — your progress is saved either way. How many goals you can run at once depends on your plan: one on Free, up to three on Builder, and unlimited on Pro.

Key Takeaways

  • Your first goal is set during onboarding and drives your roadmap tasks.
  • Add goals and set timelines from the Goals page; use the goal menu to switch your primary or close one out.
  • Active-goal limits: 1 on Free, 3 on Builder, unlimited on Pro.
